McGill Public Conservatory

The McGill Conservatory provides quality musical education to Montreal community members of all ages and abilities. The Conservatory offers courses, camps, concerts and workshops both downtown and at Macdonald campus.

Sunday Discovery Workshops

A family-friendly science workshops covering a broad range of topics designed to inspire curiosity in young and old alike. Each workshop includes a hands-on craft.

Black History Month

In collaboration with various campus groups, Equity at McGill University hosts Black History Month in celebration of Black excellence at McGill and within Canada.

Montreal New Horizons Band

The Montreal New Horizons Band is a bilingual and intergenerational wind and percussion ensemble open to all that offers the opportunity to learn (or relearn) how to play a musical instrument in a friendly and dynamic environment.

Youth Aikido Program

The Youth Aikido program introduces children aged 8 to 15 to the Japanese martial art. Aikido promotes an attitude of calm and control in aggressive situations, allowing its practitioners to respond with respect and harmony.

Learn to Swim Program

Student teachers from McGill’s exceptional swimming program provide year-round courses for children aged 3-14 years. Participants follow the Olympic Way curriculum for development of skills required for the front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly.

Summer Sports Camp

The fun, inclusive atmosphere of the Summer Sports camp introduces children aged 6 to 15 years to a variety of activities in an environment that promotes fair play and sportsmanship.

Mac Athletics Evening Fitness and Recreation Classes

Convenient evening classes are open for anyone to improve their fitness in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Courses include Cardio Boost, Zumba, Spinning, Yoga, Broga (yoga for men) and Boot Camp.

Music Masterclasses

Science Literacy Week @ McGill

The McGill library offers fun and easy to understand lectures, events and activities that convey the excitement and influence of science in our everyday lives.

McGill Physics Hackathon

Everyone is welcome to the wonderful world of scientific computing.  Participants will work on projects that unite the physical sciences and computing.  Experts from academia and industry will also be on hand to help with the projects.
