Faculty of Law gets high marks in Times Higher Education Rankings

McGill’s Faculty of Law has once again been rated as one of the world’s top places to study law.

Released earlier today, the annual Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings by Subject rates McGill’s Faculty of Law as 17th in the world. It marks the second straight year the Faculty is ranked 17th. The Faculty has made the top 20 globally since THE began ranking law faculties in 2017.

This year’s law table includes 290 universities, up from 257 last year.

McGill made the Top 100 worldwide in all 11 subjects ranked by THE this year. This includes seven in the Top 50 globally: Law (17th); Clinical, Pre-Clinical and Health (32nd); Arts and Humanities (44th) Psychology (31st); Education (39th); Social Sciences (42nd); and Life Sciences (49th).

Social Sciences and Psychology were the biggest movers for McGill, both jumping 10 spots up the chart.

Other McGill subjects include Computer Science (53rd); Business and Economics (73rd); Engineering (76th); and Physical Sciences (77th).
