CKUT offers insightful and unique radio programming to the Montreal area, including alternative music, news and spoken word. Anyone with an interest in radio can join CKUT to learn about radio production, or to develop an idea and bring it to the airwaves.
The station is made up of over 200 volunteers who work with a staff of coordinators to program and host shows, produce documentaries, conduct interviews, raise money, and more. A regular schedule of training opportunities and an open-door policy mean that everyone is welcome, any time. The station’s knowledgeable, dedicated staff provide resources, guidance and support to volunteers while keeping the station running smoothly. CKUT takes a participative approach to station management, involving volunteers both in day-to-day maintenance and strategic planning.
