Hands-on Science: from the Museum to the classroom

Trained educators from the Redpath Museum bring science to life for primary and secondary school students during these interactive workshops, breaking down the traditional look-but-don’t-touch barriers of a museum visit. Participants are invited to handle real specimens from the Museum’s fascinating collections, including:

  • minerals
  • fossils
  • dinosaurs
  • shells
  • bones

Each child also creates a craft project to take home.

The program has been thoughtfully designed to engage young people, foster their intellectual curiosity, and inspire an appreciation for the wonders of science. It is open to any school within a 70-kilometer radius of downtown Montreal. Homeschool groups, Girl Guides, Scouts and other groups of school-age children are equally welcome.
