Moving from the familiar, structured secondary school environment to adult life can be a difficult time. This transition can be even more onerous for young adults on the autism spectrum, who have to overcome additional challenges to create a support network and develop a framework for their adult lives.
Led by two professors in McGill’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, the Transition Support Program provides individual attention and support for young adults on the autism spectrum. Its weekly small group sessions focus on laying the groundwork for a smooth transition to a more independent adulthood.
