This handy new web portal lists the services and resources available remotely in a format that’s easy to navigate. It’s all here – academics, finances and careers, health and wellness, housing and dining, and student life. The site is regularly updated, too, so bookmark and check in periodically to see what’s new.
- Important Dates
This page lists all the key dates for the academic year, including registration deadlines, exam periods and study breaks. Update your calendar, set your reminders, and avoid any surprises!
- IT for Students
It’s going to be a tech-heavy semester. This site has all the IT information you’ll need at each stage of your time at McGill, including guides for setting up your McGill email, using WiFi on campus, accessing the VPN and staying safe online.
- Social Media Directory
Did you know there are over 150 McGill social media accounts? Hit follow to keep up with events, resources and services – both remote an on-campus – from your Faculty, department, and other units like Campus Life & Engagement (CL&E) and the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU).
Your Library is still here for you. Check out their website for information on the Hathi-Trust Emergency Temporary Access Service as well as the new McLennan-Redpath Terrace Pickup Service for print books not available online. You can chat or text with a librarian, too!

If you’ll be in Montreal in September, you might need to be on campus to use a Study Hub, attend a teaching activity, or access a service. Find your way around both campuses with this interactive tool. Not in Montreal? No worries – teaching activities will have a remote option, and there will be tons of services and ways to get involved remotely!

Whether you’ll be on campus in September or joining remotely, Campus Life & Engagement can help you make the most of your time at McGill. CL&E’s website has info on Virtual Orientation and transition, volunteer opportunities, student leadership roles and remote resources.

The Hub’s here to help you stay well throughout the year. Their website includes info about booking both remote and in-person appointments with mental and physical health professionals, as well as workshops, resources and more.

It’s good to break a sweat, and you can do it from home. McGill Athletics has created this new site to help you get moving – check out videos covering workouts, stretches, posture and more.
This site showcases workshops, events, volunteer opportunities, and other ways to learn and grow during your time at McGill. There’s also info about the Co-Curricular Record, which recognizes many of the experiences you gain outside the classroom.

Take advantage of the funding available based on your financial need! This site breaks down government aid, as well as McGill’s own bursaries, loans, fee deferrals and work-study program. There are useful money management tools here, too.

McGill’s bookstore has an online shop where you can pick up course materials, general interest books and University merch. Find what you need and have it shipped to wherever you are.

Think you might want a change of scenery when this pandemic blows over? You can check out your options now. This site has information about where to study abroad, how to make that happen and the funding available to help you take off.

A shameless plug! The Reporter is a great place to find out about all the interesting stuff happening around campus, including cutting-edge research, community member achievements and upcoming events. It’s news you can use, as we like to say.
